What is an isotropic magnet?
A magnet made of magnetically isotropic material has no preferred direction and has the same properties in both axes. During manufacturing, the isotropic material can be manipulated so that the magnetic field is applied in any direction. Neodymium magnets are anisotropic because of their strength, while flexible magnets are usually isotropic, so that the entire magnetic field can be exerted from one side of the sheet.
