What does coercive force mean?
The coercive force of a magnetic field is the intensity or energy required to reduce the magnetization of a magnetized (to the saturation point) object to zero. It essentially measures the resistance of a magnetic material to demagnetization. The coercive force of the magnetic material is measured in oersteds (Oe): the higher the number, the greater the magnet's resistance to demagnetization.
