Flux density

What does the flux density of magnets mean and how is it calculated?

The flux density describes the number of magnetization lines per square centimeter of pole area.
The total number of magnetic field lines that penetrate each 1cm x 1cm pole face is called the magnetic flux density (also known as magnetic induction). The flux density is measured in Gauss or Tesla (10,000 Gauss = 1 Tesla).
