Electromagnet

What is an electromagnet?

An electromagnet works on the principle that a flow of electric current not only allows electrons to move in a circuit, but also creates a weak magnetic field. Furthermore, if a wire with sufficient power supply is coiled, a magnetic field can become even stronger. Iron or steel objects surrounding such a coiled electric wire will also become magnetized. However, the magnetic field of an electromagnet is dependent on electric current, which is why this Type of magnets sometimes not as useful as permanent magnets. However, because they can remain magnetized under the most difficult conditions and have a higher field strength, they are indispensable for a variety of applications.
